CHANGES TO SCOTIA MORTGAGE CORP. MORTGAGES AND SCHEDULES FOR ALBERTA ONLY
We have been advised that the Scotia Bank is now requesting you prepare fixed rate mortgages with variable rate schedules. To facilitate this we have streamlined how you choose the Scotia Mortgage product and Schedule that you have been instructed to prepare. The changes are as follows:
MORTGAGE DETAILS TAB:
We have shortened the list of mortgage products which you can choose from to the five types of Mortgages that can be found on the Scotiabank website. Once you select a mortgage product the Additional Mortgage Details window will become visible. Any variable information that must be entered on either the Mortgage or the Schedule, is entered here. The variable information that you may need to input for a specific schedule is clearly laid out under a heading indicating the schedule numbers it pertains to.

DOCUMENT MANAGER:
Instead of choosing the combined mortgage and schedule document, you will now choose the mortgage that you wish to generate as well as the schedule. Each document will compile based on the information you have entered on the Mortgage Details tab and the Additional Mortgage Details tab.
Searching by the document number is the quickest way of finding the document that you need. For example, you have been instructed to prepare the Scotiabank Fixed Rate Mortgage (2352417) with the Variable Rate Schedule (1341312). On the Select tab in the Document Manager enter 2352417 as your search criteria. Your search result will be the Scotiabank Fixed Rate Mortgage (2352417). As this is a single document, clicking the double arrows will move it to the Selected Documents list without the need to select it first.

Next, enter 1341312 as your search criteria. Your search result will be the Scotiabank Variable Rate Schedule (1341312). Again, as this is a single document, clicking the double arrows will move it to the Selected Documents list without the need to select it first.

Once both documents are in the Selected Documents list, click Generate and then pick up both documents from the Finalized tab. It's that easy!
