Browser Settings

There are a few browser settings that are required to ensure that econveyance runs at its best.

Google Chrome V. 3

  1. Click on the Wrench icon on the browser Menu Bar
  2. Click Options
  3. Click on the Under the Hood tab
  4. In the Downloads section select Ask where to save each file before downloading (note that this will prompt you even when opening a single document)
  5. Click Close
  6. When downloading, you may see a pop-ups blocked message. Click the down arrow and select always show pop-ups from prod.econveyancepro.com

 

Firefox V. 3.0

  1. Click on Tools on the browser Menu Bar
  2. Click Options
  3. Click the Main icon on the top toolbar
  4. In the Downloads section select Always Ask Me Where to Save Files
  5. Click the Content icon on the top toolbar
  6. If Block Pop-up Windows is selected, ensure you click the Exceptions button and type prod.econveyancepro.com in the Address of web site bar and click the Enable button
  7. Click the Close button
  8. Click the Privacy icon on the top toolbar
  9. If Accept cookies from sites is not selected, click the Exceptions button in the Cookies section
  10. Enter bconline.gov.bc.ca in the Address of web site field and click the Enable button
  11. Click OK

  

Internet Explorer V. 8

  1. Click on Tools on the browser Menu Bar
  2. Click Internet Options 
  3. On the General Tab click the Settings button under Browsing History
  4. Select Automatically in the Check for newer versions of stored pages section
  5. Click OK
  6. Click the Privacy Tab
  7. Click the Sites Button
  8. Enter bconline.gov.bc.ca in the Address of website box and click the Allow button
  9. Click OK
  10. Click the Advanced Tab
  11. In the browsing section ensure there is a tick next to Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable Script Debugging (Other)
  12. Ensure there is no tick next to Display a Notification About Every Script Error
  13. Click OK
  14. Click on Tools on the browser Menu Bar
  15. Put your mouse over the Pop-Up Blocker menu item
  16. If your Pop-up Blockers are turned on, then select Pop-up Blocker settings from the menu that appears
  17. In the Address of Web Site to Allow box type prod.econveyancepro.com and click the Add button
  18. Click Close
