You can create new tasks from any location in econveyance. To create a new task follow these steps:
- From the Tasks fly out menu select New Task.
- The Assigned To field will default to you. You can assign the task to another user by selecting them from the drop down.
- The file number field will default to the file you are in at the time you create the task. If you are not in a file, the file number field will be blank. Use the blue File Number link to look up the file the task is associated with. Tasks must be associated to an open file.
- Enter the subject of the task in the subject field.
- Enter the details of the task in the details field.
- Click into the Due Date field and select the due date from the calendar widget that appears.
- The Email Reminder field will will be selected by default. If you do not wish to receive an email on the due date, remove the tick.
- When you have completed the task, select the Completed field. Completed tasks will only be viewable when viewing file tasks.
- The Created By and Created At fields will complete automatically when the task is saved.
