The lawyer/notary profile contains three tabs, Lawyer/Notary Profile, Trust Account, and Third Party Link.

Lawyer Profile Tab

Name fields are used to enter the first and last name and the lawyer/notary initials.

Signing Text is the information that will appear at the bottom of all letters.

Account Type is the setting used to determine how your account to your client will be displayed on the statement of adjustments or orders to pay. If you select summary it will display one total amount. If you select detailed it will display as three entries, one entry for your total fees, one for your total disbursements and one for your total taxes. If you select Do Not Show, accounts with not be reflected on the statements of adjustments or orders to pay.

User Font allows you to select a font face. The selected font face will be used for letters only.

User Font Size allows you to select a font size. The selected font size will be used for letters only.

Default Tax Increase allows you to indicate the % of tax increase to be utilized when doing tax adjustments that are based on an estimate. The amount entered into this field will automatically populate the tax screen when you indicate that the taxes are an estimate.

Show PTT on BSOA is used to indicate that the amount of the property transfer tax should be included on the buyer statement of adjustments and reflected in the total amount due from the client to complete the transaction.

Show Encumbrances in Item 11 on Form B is used to indicate if charges marked to remain on title will appear in item 11 of the EFS and paper Form B documents.

Use Additional Signing Block Info on All Docs is used to indicate that all documents to be signed by a party should complete with the party name as well as the contents of the additional information for signing block field. If this option is not selected, only the land title forms will complete with this information.

Report to Realtor By is used to determine whether the buyer or seller lawyer or notary is responsible to report to the realtors.

Default Branch is only visible for firms that have branch offices. If you have a lawyer or notary that most often works out of one branch, setting the default branch accordingly will automatically show the appropriate branch on all new files opened. The branch office is set on a file by file basis to allow lawyers and notaries the flexibility of opening files at multiple branches.

Phone and Fax are used for the lawyer or notary's direct phone and fax numbers.

Email is the lawyer or notary's email address.

Alternate Email is used if the lawyer or notary would prefer that any email generated through econveyance utilize another email address, such as an address for an assistant.

Send Email To is used to set which email address is to be used.

Send Email to Conveyancer on File is used if a lawyer or notary has multiple assistants and wants to have any email generated on a specific file utilize the email address for the conveyancer noted on the file.

HST # is used to enter the lawyer or notary's HST number. This information is utilized on the client account.

Trust/General Account Tab

This tab is used to enter all trust or general accounts used by this lawyer or notary. The information entered here can be retrieved in multiple locations in the program, including requests for funds for lenders, requesting direct deposits from other firms and populating the EFS Form PTT with the PTT account name.

Get Default Account

Click this link to select trust accounts that were entered in the Company Profile, Default Trust/General Accounts tab.

Add New Account

Financial Institution is a link to the library that allows you to lookup and select the appropriate financial institution.

Branch is a link to the library that allows you to lookup and select the appropriate branch.

Account Number is the trust account number.

Transit Number is the branch transit number.

Bank Number is the bank number for the financial institution.

Description is used as an identifier for you. Often firms have multiple trust accounts with the same financial institution and the identifier allows you to quickly distinguish between them.

PTT Account Name is the Account Name as entered on the Electronic Payment Authorization for those accounts used for payment of PTT when filing using the LTSA Electronic Filing System.

Third Party Link

Title Insurance Provider allows you to select the title insurance provider of your choice. The third party links title insurance windows will open to the provider you have selected.

Chicago Title User Name is used to enter the CTIC user name of the lawyer or notary. This information will be provided to you by Chicago Title.
