Conducting a Search

New Title Search

When you first open a new file, or click on Search - Title on the multi-level menu, you are immediately taken to the New Title Search window. Searches can be conducted using either the PID number or the Title Number and optional land title district.

Parcel ID - Enter the parcel identifier number of the property you wish to search. You can enter the parcel ID with or without dashes.

Select Existing PID - Selecting a PID from this drop down will allow you to conduct an additional search of a property already entered on your file without the need to re-enter the PID.

Title Number - Enter the title number of the property you wish to search. 

Land Title District - Select the Land Title District from the drop down menu. Note: this is an optional field.

Search Type - Select the type of search you are conducting from the drop down. The search type is simply an identifier to assist you that will appear in the Land Title Searches list.

Content Type - You can obtain title searches with current or current and cancelled information. Make the appriopriate selection from the drop down.

BCO User Name - Your BCO User Name will populate automatically.

BCO User Password - If you have stored your BCO User Password in the User Profile this field will be automatically completed for you. If you have not stored your password you may type it directly into this field.

Strata Plan Common Property Search

Click on Search - Strata Plan Common Property Search from the multi-level menu or click the Strata Plan Common Property button on the Land Title Searches list.

Strata Plan Number - You must enter the strata plan number in order to obtain the common property search.

Land Title District - The land title district is optional and can be selected from the drop down.

 

BCO User Name - Your BCO User Name will populate automatically.

BCO User Password - If you have stored your BCO User Password in the User Profile this field will be automatically completed for you. If you have not stored your password you may type it directly into this field.

Parcel Information Search

Click on Search - Parcel Information from the multi-level menu or click on the Parcel Information button from the Land Title Searches screen.

Parcel ID - Enter the parcel identifier number of the property you wish to search. You can enter the parcel ID with or without dashes.

Select Existing PID - Selecting a PID from this drop down will allow you to conduct an additional search of a property already entered on your file without the need to re-enter the PID.

 

BCO User Name - Your BCO User Name will populate automatically.

BCO User Password - If you have stored your BCO User Password in the User Profile this field will be automatically completed for you. If you have not stored your password you may type it directly into this field.

Pending Applications Search

Click on Search - Pending Applications from the multi-level menu or click on the Pending Applications button from the Land Title Searches screen.

Parcel ID - Enter the parcel identifier number of the property you wish to search. You can enter the parcel ID with or without dashes.

Select Existing PID - Selecting a PID from this drop down will allow you to conduct an additional search of a property already entered on your file without the need to re-enter the PID.

 

BCO User Name - Your BCO User Name will populate automatically.

BCO User Password - If you have stored your BCO User Password in the User Profile this field will be automatically completed for you. If you have not stored your password you may type it directly into this field.

 

Once the search is submitted, you will be taken to the Land Title Searches list. The status of the search you have just submitted with be set to Searching. During the searching process, you will see a visual indicator that the system is checking to see if the title search has been obtained. Once the search is completed the status will change to Obtained.

To view and print the search and import the data to your file, click the PID or Title Number link.
