Provider Same As Taxing Authority - This option is selected by default. If you deselect this option, the Provider name and address fields will become available to you.
Provider - Click the blue link to look up the utility provider in the library or enter the provider name directly into the field.
Address, Phone and Fax - If you selected the provider from the library these fields will be populated for you. If not, you may type directly into the fields.
Account Number - Enter the utility account number, if applicable.
Billing Start Date - Select the start date for the billing period you want to adjust for from the calendar widget that appears when you click into the field.
Billing End Date - Enter the end date for the billing period you want to adjust for from the calendar widget that appears when you click into the field.
Utility Amount - Enter the total amount of the utility charges for the period you are adjusting for.
Estimate Utilities - Select this option if you are adjusting utilities based on an estimated account.
% To Increase - This field will be displayed if you have selected the Estimate Utilities option. Enter the % amount that should be added to the Utility Amount to complete the adjustment.
Utility Paid - Select this option if the utility account you are adjusting for has been paid. The calculation for who to debit and who to credit will be based on this option.
Adjustment Date - This field displays the adjustment date entered on the transaction screen for your reference. The date can be edited or entered directly in this field.
Description - The description will complete automatically when you click the Generate link. Once the description is generated, it can be edited by you. The description entered will appear on the adjustments.
Calculation Preview - This field will complete automatically when you click the Generate link below the Description field or when you click save. This field will also update automatically any time the adjustment date is changed. This field cannot be edited by you.
Adjusted Amount Preview - This field will complete automatically when you click the General link below the Description field or when you click save. This field will also update automatically any time the adjustment date is changed. This field cannot be edited by you.
Show on Adjustments - This option is selected by default. If this option is selected the adjustment will appear on the Adjustments.
Cost of Search - If it cost you to obtain the utility information and you wish to pass this cost on to your client, enter the cost in this field.
HST - If you paid HST on the cost of the search, enter that amount in this field.
Show Cost On - Select the appriopriate entry from the drop down. If you select Account, the cost will show as a disbursement on your account to your client. If you select Adjustment, this amount will show as an entry on the Buyer's Statement of Adjustments.
Additional Utilities - Selecting this option will display a second set of utility adjustment fields.
